What is nesting?

If you set out tables on top of each other. Each table is independent of all the others

Advantages of nesting

  • As tables float they are not affected by each other. This means no changing in size of cells next to each other
  • Tables can have their own formatting with individal backgrounds,borders etc
  • Ease of building the page in Dreamweaver layout mode as you can drag out each table onto the page as you want it
