 Notice this affects all the page, so could be annoying.

Hyperlinks to other pages

Links to other pages and sites are called 'hyperlinks' There are a number of different types of links that can be constructed

 

  • Relative link to Index page links within the site. This will be used to jump between pages as in the left hand column

  • Absolute Link are those that will only work within site will only work on computer where page stored. These are rarely used except during site development.

  • External Link  This links to a web page live on the Internet. 


Types of Link

You can link via a simple piece of text or by using a graphic image

  • Simple text link.  Click on underlined text to activate

  • External link via a graphic.  Click on graphic to activate

You can create a navigation bar

This sets up navigation for you to move between pages. See Index page for example

 

E-mail links

These will allow you to send a message to an e-mail address.  Obviously only works live! 

It uses a 'mailto' link.  look at the code
