  1. Place cursor where you want the object
  2. Select the Flash icon in the Objects Panel and select the file. The program inserts the Flash object and the command to run the plugin onto the page. You can select it, pick it up and move it as well as resizing it.
  3. The Property Inspector allows you to format the object in a similar way to that of other plugins.
  4. You can preview in the Property Inspector.

The advantages of using Flash text is that you can use any font without worrying whether your audience has that font on their computer. The font can be a larger size than normal for HTML text
You insert Flash text in the following steps.

  1. Save your web page
  2. Select Flash text icon from the Objects Panel.
  3. From the dialogue box select parameters for the text.
  4. The URL tab allows you to create a hyperlink to another location by clicking on the text.
  5. Click OK and your Flash text movie will be created.

This page has flash text all over it for headings. The number of different fonts and backgrounds is of course bad practice!

Flash buttons are used for navigation in the same way as straightforward images and rollover buttons.
Use the templates supplied to make the buttons

  1. Save web page and place cursor where you want the button to appear.
  2. Click on the Flash button image in the Object Panel (or Interactive Images in Insert menu)
  3. Select button style from dialogue box. Select a hypertext link for the button, a font (if you wish to change it), a size and a background.
  4. The movie file is saved as a .swf file
