Layers Image Overflow and Clip

Overflow determines what happens if the picture is bigger

than the layer. With the layer selected oveflow can be

seen in the Property Inspector

  1. Visible expands the layer so it can all be seen
  2. Hidden peserves layer size , so large images are not
    visible
  3. Scroll allows you to scroll the picture in browser.
  4. Auto allows scroll if picture overflows.

Look at the two layers in the browser.

The sun image scrolls.

The Flower image is on visible and can all be seen

although it is bigger than its layer.

Clip determines the size of visible area. It allows

you to show only part of an image and defines its

position and size. In the Property Inspector the

Clip setting allows you to set these parameters.

(1) Select the layer. In the clip boxes you will see
L,R,T and B. These represent the distances from the

edges of the layer.
T=Top,R=Right,L=Left and B=Bottom.

(2) Look at the width dimensions of your layer

and practice until you get the correct position for
your image on the layer. Look at the diagram below
if you want help!
