What
are Assets?
As
time goes on a number of different elements, images, colours, templates
etc are used and stored. These are assets.
What
is a Library Item?
Objects
used often can be stored in a storage are called a library. Updates to
library items update throuhout the site.
What
is a Template?
A
template is a predetermined save layout.
You use these to give a uniform style to the site

Using Assets
Assets are available in the Assets Panel (instantly
from Taskbar or Window menu).
They build up over time, so a new site has no assets
Looking at and using the Assets Panel.
Look at the diagram below which shows
the main elements

(1) List
The different categories can be selected by cicking
on the left side icon menu.
The assets displayed are all those used in the defined web site.
(2) Preview
A small preview of the item appears in the top
window.
Double click on the item and for images, shockwave,flash, movies, library
and templates the item will open for viewing/editing in the appropriate
application.
(3) Adding to a page
Drag them onto the page or select item, place
the insertion point on page and click on insert button.
(4) Using the service menu
Right click on an item and a service menu opens,
This allows you to edit, insert, add to favourites, copy to another site
or locate where they have been used on the site.
(5) Creating Favourites
Favourites allows you to find popular assets quickly.
These can be added by selecting them and adding them by clicking on the
+ icon at bottom right, or from the service menu. Whilst in favourites
you can organise new folders and edit and remove assets

The Library
This is contained within the Assets Panel. Library
items are edited, inserted, deleted and copied into the library in a similar
way to favourite assets.
The main difference isediting and updating. Click on
update and a copy of the item is presented for updating.
When updated the changes are UNIVERSAL throughout the site.
New library items
It is possible to make new items from scratch.
Create the title by clicking on the plus button. When titled click on
the item and you can make and save the item.
